LET'S LIGHT UP OUR NEIGHBOURHOOD

My friend Julie Hepplewhite and I, Rebecca Barker have heard of a COVID friendly event that I think would be great for our neighbourhoods. Is anyone interested in participating in a “Light up your Neighbourhood December Festival”?
The idea is for us each to make a window display to shine out between 5-9 pm each evening in December. It could be as simple as a lighted candle or a more elaborate tissue paper ‘stained glass’ effect, silhouettes also work well – basically anything goes.

It’s really easy to take part by either making a window display or taking a stroll around the neighbourhood to appreciate the festival of light.
We were thinking it would be a great way to fundraise for the Severn Hospice too by setting up a Just Giving Page. Please CLICK HERE to go to the page
I’m leafletting Longden Road, Julie is leafletting Grange Road so if you would like to participate please contact me, Rebecca on 01743 242865. I live at 54 Longden Road. I will be happy to offer advice on how to construct your display or you could find inspiration on Pinterest; YouTube, or search “Christmas Advent Windows” on If we can’t be together as neighbours this Christmas, "Let’s light up our neighbourhood" instead.
Please comply with the local COVID restrictions when viewing the windows.
