Past Festivals
Dating back to 2003, this fortnightly festival has a new theme each year, where all sorts of related art and cultural activities are created by local children and adults alike. Exhibitions, competitions, workshops and events all culminate in a fortnight of fun for everyone!

Heroes
2022
Journeys
We travelled far and wide with our journeys of discovery, personal journeys, trails, maps, signposts and suitcases!
We found out that heroes come in all shapes and sizes, so we made the most of super heroes, dressing up as heroes, thanking our local heroes, getting creative with heroic shields.........
2021
Wild II
Having been 'locked down' the previous year, we had another go at this WILD theme! Somehow, the freedom to be out and about made us all the more determined to embrace this great theme.
2020
Wild
For the first time, we extended our fortnight and went online. Socially distanced studios were some of the great ideas that allowed everyone to display their wonderful works of art.
2019
Origins
In the town where Darwin was born, Origins was a wonderful theme to get creative with.
2018
Air
Oxygen and air pollution were just two of the creative ideas that came out of the theme this year.
2017
Home
'Home is where the heart is' and our community really showed us how much home meant to them this year, from bedrooms to sheds!
2016
Space
This wonderful collage just summed up the variety of art and imagination we witnessed for the theme of Space.
2015
Memories
Poetry and art really evoked a whole range of emotions from happiness to sadness and everything inbetween.
2014
Light
An exploration of light, from an illuminated light walk, to art classes and a walk to Lyth Hill 'the home of colour and light'
