Scarecrows
Once again, the residents of Belle Vue and Coleham created a fantastic trail filled with scarecrows and art inspired by the theme of ‘fantasy’ for everyone to enjoy.
This year, we ran with the newly introduced community vote again, which is proving really popular.
With brilliant creativity and imagination, the judges had another tough job on their hands. But after much deliberation, we’re thrilled to announce our brilliant winners...

Chair Art
We asked you to give an old kitchen, dining or garden chair a makeover and decorate it in the theme of 'fantasy'.
HUGE congratulations to Leonie Seager for her brilliant and unusual entry.
As our winner, Leonie now has the exciting opportunity to decorate a Belle Vue bench. We can't wait to see what she creates next and we'll be sure to keep you updated.
Drabble
We introduced a new competition this year - Drabble!
A Drabble is a tiny tale of exactly 100 words, (title excluded), which we centred on our 2026 festival theme of Fantasy. Our writers rose to the challenge brilliantly and you can read their winning entries in our blog post, along with the judges’ thoughts.
Poetry
Our ever popular poetry competition was a runaway success again this year, with a wonderful range of fantasy themed poems for our judges to enjoy.
