Venue: Greyfriars Bridge, Coleham

The traditional start to our festival!
Join us for a laid back family event where we celebrate all things relating to 'fantasy'.
Location: This event is held on the town centre side of Greyfriars bridge, using both the green open space and St Julian's Friars cul-de-sac will be closed to traffic.
The outdoor event is free to attend and includes themed stalls and activities (on the green and alongside the bridge approach). We also have stalls and activities on the closed off road; with live music performances by local musicians.
Activities:

A live rolling music programme.

Informal drop in activities for kids/adults including: Lego/Duplo, Colouring Sheets, Fantasy Quest game, Spot the fantasy creatures competition and, back by popular demand, our Community Art Board painting, this time it's Mark Chagall's, Julnar the Sea-Born

Ogre cut out photo-board where you can take your own fantasy photo selfie
Themed stalls run by local organisations:

Shrewsbury Library - promoting the amazing genre of fantasy through books.

Shropshire Dungeon Master – Joel Edwin Smith, promoting fantasy gaming

Geologist, Ruth Aston - promoting the links between geology and myths. You can find out more by looking at the Geological Society and Myths, Legends and Folktales of Shropshire
Facilities: We are close to Stop Coffee, House Coffee and local pubs
Refreshments: Stop Coffee, House Coffee and several food businesses in Coleham
Tickets: We will be selling advance programmes for Open Gardens (card or cash)

Across the bridge you'll find Un1ty tattoo who have a Studio Open Day from 10am - 5pm.

Located at Studio 39, you will find free drop-in art activities for children aged 5+, based on our theme 'Fantasy' with a wonderful range of art materials.
