Art for Well-Being:
Fantasy & Imagination
Venue: Molton 50 Cafe/Bar, Greyfriars Road, SY3 7DS
This workshop invites participants to explore imagination, self-expression, and emotional resilience through fantasy-inspired art. Beginning with a short guided visualization, you will imagine a peaceful fantasy world where you feel safe and empowered.
Through drawing and mixed-media activities, you will design a fantasy guardian character, create a magical landscape, and develop a symbolic object representing protection, healing, or intention. This isn't about your best self or fixing anything; it's about imagining a version of you that feels a little freer, calmer, braver, or more yourself.
These creative prompts encourage reflection on personal strengths, emotions, and inner resources. The session concludes with an optional moment for reflection and sharing, allowing participants to connect with the meaning behind their creations.
With accessible art materials and a relaxed atmosphere -including optional ambient music and sensory elements -this workshop supports mindfulness, stress reduction, and playful creativity. It is a gentle and imaginative way to support mental well-being through art.
