Fantasy Manga Characters

Manga is a dynamic, eye-catching art form that is full of fantasy, magic, and the supernatural! In this fun and informal workshop, you will create your own manga-style
characters and fantastical creatures. Led by experienced manga artist Eira Richards, you will learn how to draw facial features, clothing, and magical details. Will it be an enchanted sword, fairy wings, an invisibility cloak – or even a mythical animal companion?
If you are aged 7 or over, love drawing and making up your own characters and fantasy worlds, this workshop is for you!

About Eira Richards:
I am a comics and manga artist and illustrator. My work includes The Witch-Hare, a manga retelling of Welsh witch-hare stories, as well as an original series, Chemical Blue, and an instructional book, Creating Manga Characters. My most recent graphic novel, Between Storms, is a historical fantasy set in the late 8th century.
I am also an experienced artist educator, and have taught at schools, libraries, festivals and events.
