NEW for 2026! 

Join us for a creative evening where life drawing with a unique twist! 

 

Whether you're new to drawing or a veteran artist looking to flex your creative muscle, this is your chance to draw performers decked out in amazing handmade (and occasionally hand bought) costumes in the theme of ‘Steampunk Fantasy’ 

 

What to expect:

Models will pose for 5-10 minutes in a relaxed, informal drawing setting. Some will also perform, from drag to puppetry, bringing their characters to life. After each round, the performer will choose their favourite sketch, and the winning artist will receive a small fun prize! :) 

The evening will feature a brand-new costume by the incredible costume designer: Thee Majesty and performances will be hosted by local gentlemen ghoul drag king: Count D. Ranged.

 

Everyone welcome:

All skill levels are welcome. Materials are provided, but feel free to bring your own kit if you prefer.

We want you to leave entertained, inspired, and with a stack of sketches capturing  an array of fantastical characters and costumes.

About the facilitators

Count D. Ranged (Robin, he/him)

Illustrator, drag king, and lover of all things strange, beautiful, and sartorially dramatic.  He's passionate about creating a space where drawing is about joy, play, and imagination, not just 'improving technique'. He also enjoys designing outfits and, naturally, being praised for them!

Thee Majesty (Reuben Amarna, they/them)

Costume maker, prop designer, monster horror enthusiast and drag thing. They specialise in regal, beautiful monsters for you to bring to life on your sketchpads.

Together they're building a community where art encourages art.  

Practical bits:

  • Refreshments: free coffee, tea and juice. You're welcome to bring your own snacks and soft drinks, but please avoid bringing alcohol. 

  • Age: 16+

  • Price: £5 per person. Space is limited, so please book your ticket in advance, here
